THE SKINDLE FIELD GUIDE

How to play SKINDLE

A useful guess gives you something to work with. Here is how to read the feedback in each mode and decide what to try next.

Classic: eliminate, then identify

Choose a skin from the search results and submit it. Five columns compare your guess with the hidden skin. You have unlimited attempts, but the round ends only when you select the exact skin, not merely the right weapon.

What each clue means
ColumnHow to use it
WeaponGreen is the exact weapon. Any different weapon is red, even if both are rifles. There is no yellow weapon match.
RarityGreen means the same rarity. The small colored badge names the rarity; the surrounding tile indicates whether your guess matches.
CollectionGreen means the same catalog collection. A red collection does not rule out the weapon or rarity.
TeamGreen is the same team value. Yellow means overlapping availability: Both compared with T or CT. T compared with CT is red.
YearGreen is the same release year in the catalog. An up arrow asks for a later year; a down arrow asks for an earlier year.

A worked team clue

Suppose the hidden weapon is an AWP, whose team value is Both. If you guess an AK-47, the weapon tile is red but the Terrorist team tile is yellow: the teams overlap, while the weapons do not match. If your next guess is a different AWP skin, both Weapon and Team turn green. You still need to solve the finish.

A yellow T clue can therefore point you toward Both. It does not mean the hidden item is necessarily another T-only weapon. Keep your confirmed columns in mind while changing the unresolved ones.

Rarity color is not answer color

Consumer Grade is white/grey, Industrial Grade light blue, Mil-Spec Grade blue, Restricted purple, Classified pink and Covert red. The catalog also includes Contraband. A red Covert badge can sit inside a green correct tile: the badge describes the skin, while the tile describes your guess.

Choose an informative second guess

If Weapon is green, keep that weapon and try a finish with a different collection or year. If Weapon is red, change weapons. A later-year arrow narrows the date, but does not tell you the answer's rarity. Read the five columns independently rather than treating a mostly green row as a win.

Splash: six guesses, a widening view

The first image is a tight crop. A wrong guess zooms the image out, giving you more context for the next attempt. You have six guesses in total. The final result reveals the full image and the answer.

  1. Read the finish first. Look for edges of artwork, color blocks, repeated shapes or an organic pattern. A single orange patch is weak evidence; a distinctive combination of shapes is stronger.
  2. Use new geometry. After a wrong guess, inspect what the wider crop adds. A barrel, magazine or scope can help separate otherwise similar-looking finishes.
  3. Update your guess. Do not keep choosing skins only because they share the first color you noticed. Use the new outline and the painted detail together.

The image is a catalog illustration, not a photograph of a specific player's item. Do not try to infer an exact float, sticker placement or valuable pattern seed from it. Search only offers skins included in this game.

Price Check: narrow the interval

You have six attempts to get within 3% of a recorded euro price. A higher arrow means your guess was below that reference; a lower arrow means it was above. If €40 is too low and €80 is too high, a €60 guess tests the middle of your remaining interval. A yellow result gives you an additional proximity clue. See the price reference guide for exact ranges and limitations.

Daily rounds and saved progress

Each mode has a separate round, randomly selected for your browser. Two players need not receive the same skin. Refreshing or closing the page does not start a new round when browser storage is available. The reset is at your device's local midnight, including daylight saving changes; the countdown can therefore cover a 23- or 25-hour day.

Progress is stored locally, not in an account. It does not sync to another device or browser. Clearing site data can remove it, and private browsing may discard it when the session ends. If saving is unavailable, the game asks you to enable browser storage before playing.
